Dave Thawley
Thawley brings to HST Pathways an impressive track record leading the growth of category-defining software companies. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President and General Manager at fleet management software and video telematics company Lytx, where he led the midmarket and small market business units as well as Lytx Compliance Services. In that role, he scaled the team and implemented a data-driven sales, marketing, and support process to accelerate systematic, predictable, and efficient growth, helping the company achieve record revenues in 2020.
An experienced CEO, Thawley led the merger of two midmarket automotive enthusiast hardware businesses, to create calibration software company, Derive Systems. The combined strength and synergies of this merger powered the combined company’s entrance into the B2B fleet technology space. He also co-founded TestDrive, a provider of custom software tools for automotive dealerships and held leadership roles at eBay and Bain & Company.
Thawley previously served as Captain for the U.S. Air Force. He received an M.B.A. from the Wharton School, an M.S. from the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology, and a B.S. from the U.S. Air Force Academy.
