The Awards
Positive Community Impact
This award recognizes a surgery center that has made significant contributions to its local community. Whether through outreach programs, charitable contributions, volunteer efforts, or partnerships with local organizations, this center exemplifies a commitment to improving the well-being of those they serve beyond the operating room. The winner of this award demonstrates how healthcare providers can be pillars of their community, driving positive change and fostering a stronger, healthier society.
Eligibility
Award is presented to the surgery center.
Nominations can be submitted by the surgery center itself or any peers on behalf of the surgery center.
Surgery center must be a current user of at least one HST product as of September 30 in the year prior to award consideration.
Judging Process
Submission Review: All applications will be processed after the submission deadline and shared with a panel of HST employees who will serve as judges.
Evaluation Period: Judges will have one week to review all submissions and cast anonymous votes.
Final Selection: Winners will be determined based on cumulative scores. In case of a tie, a designated senior judge will make the final decision.
Innovator of the Year
The Innovator of the Year award honors a surgery center that has embraced cutting-edge surgical practices, technologies, or processes that have significantly enhanced patient care, operational efficiency, or clinical outcomes. This award celebrates those who are not afraid to push boundaries and set new standards in the industry. Whether through the adoption of groundbreaking medical devices, pioneering surgical techniques, or the integration of advanced data analytics, this center is a leader in healthcare innovation.

This award is given to an individual who has shown exceptional leadership and dedication to their staff, facility, and patients. The Administrator of the Year goes above and beyond the call of duty, fostering a positive work environment, implementing effective management strategies, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. This person is a true advocate for both their team and the community they serve, demonstrating excellence in every aspect of their role.

Superior Operational Excellence
This award recognizes a surgery center that has demonstrated superior operational efficiency. This center excels in managing resources, optimizing schedules, and ensuring that every aspect of the operation runs smoothly, ultimately leading to better patient experiences and improved outcomes.

Award is presented to the surgery center.
Surgery center must have completed full implementation of HST Practice Management and HST eChart by September 30 of the year prior to award consideration.
Eligibility is based on 12 months of data from October 1 through September 30 of the year prior to award consideration.
Judging Process
Using data from HST Practice Management and HST eChart, the metrics to determine the winner will be:

- Case Cancellation Rate
- Deposit Collection Rate
- Days to Bill
- Claim Denial Rate

Who can submit nominations?
Nominations can be submitted by peers, self, vendors, or anyone who recognizes the exceptional contributions of the surgery center or individual.
How do we submit a nomination?
Nominations can be submitted through a form on our website year-round until November 30 of the current award year.
What data will be used for the product data-based awards?
We will use data from HST Practice Management and HST eChart to determine the winner for the Superior Operational Excellence award. All data will be normalized and weighted to ensure fairness and equity.
How will the winners be announced?
Winners will be personally notified by a member of our leadership team on Deccember 16, 2025, and will receive a media kit to help share the news.
What do winners receive?
Winners will receive a physical award and will be promoted through various HST channels, including emails, newsletters, social media, podcasts, and videos.
Can we nominate ourselves for an award?
Yes, self-nominations are allowed and encouraged.
Is there a fee to participate in the awards program?
